Kahuku Medical Center Raises $15,000 to Support Hawai‘i Island and Kaua‘i Disaster Relief Efforts

(Kahuku, HI – Draft) – In the wake of the Kaua‘i floods and volcanic activity on Hawai‘i Island, Kahuku Medical Center (KMC) has raised $15,000 for the American Red Cross of Hawaii to support disaster relief efforts and those affected by recent natural disasters.

“As part of Hospital Week, our staff wanted to support our neighbor island ohana and raised funds through cash contributions, payroll deductions, and even vacation donations. The hospital administration was so impressed with their generosity of spirit, that we committed to match the employees’ donation dollar for dollar,” said Kahuku Medical Center CEO Alan MacPhee.

The funds donation will help Kaua‘i flood victims and Puna residents forced to evacuate their homes due to the ongoing volcanic activity. KMC employees raised $7,500 and the hospital contributed a matching amount.
