Medical bills can be confusing at times, but rest assured we’re here to help. If you need assistance understanding your bill please contact our patient accounts representative at (808) 293-9221, option 5 or email us at: Info@kmc-hi.org.
It’s important to know that you may receive more than one bill for the same healthcare service or hospital stay. Depending on your insurance plan, you may only receive coverage for a portion of your bill. The remaining total is the patient’s responsibility. In addition to your KMC bill, you may receive billing statements from other members of your healthcare team related to the services you received. For example, after an ED visit you may receive two separate bills; one from your HEPA emergency physician and one from Kahuku Medical Center. Questions about bills you receive from non-KMC parties should be directed to those providers.
