Ryan Cannon, DPT
About
Ryan Cannon, a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), has spent nearly a decade in the rehabilitation field, working across orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, home health, and performance coaching. Early in his career, he spent two years running his own concierge practice for athletes and active adults in San Diego before moving into home health care and eventually his current role serving the North Shore community.
A former college lacrosse player, Ryan’s own history with injury shaped his belief that recovery isn’t just about the body part that hurts. It’s about restoring people to the life and activity they love. He holds a CrossFit Level 2 certification and competes as a CrossFit athlete himself, which keeps him closely connected to the physical demands his athletic clients face.
Ryan believes a whole-person approach, one that connects mindfulness, movement, and community, creates the foundation for lasting progress. He’s driven by the idea that rehab professionals have a unique ability to create positive change well beyond the clinic, and he’s committed to extending that impact as far as he can.
Outside of work, Ryan is a husband and father, an active member of his church community, and someone who’s happiest lifting, training, or chasing the next PR.
“I’ve seen what it means to feel hopeless about recovery, and I’ve seen what it means to come back stronger than before. That’s the work I want to keep doing, meeting people where they are and helping them get back to what they love."
