The Behavioral Health Clinic at Kahuku Medical Center offers outpatient behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and kupuna. Our team of specialists provides quality care to individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD, parent-child relational problems, and life stressors (e.g., chronic medical conditions, divorce, grief/loss).
Psychological screenings, assessments, therapy services, and referrals to specialty care are available.
Hours of Operation
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
ADHD is a chronic condition beginning in childhood that presents as difficulty paying attention, impulsive behavior, or being overly active to the point of impaired functioning.
Anxiety is characterized by feelings of tension, difficulty controlling worried thoughts, and physical sensations such as sweating, trembling, dizziness, or increased heartbeat.
Depression is characterized by low mood or loss of interest and can cause problems with concentration, changes in appetite/weight, insomnia or excessive sleeping, low energy, feelings of worthlessness or guilt, and thoughts of death or suicide.
Trauma is a deeply distressing or disturbing experience. Emotional reactions such as shock and denial are typical; longer-term responses include unpredictable emotions, flashbacks, strained relationships, and even physical symptoms.
Grief is a normal response to loss and drastic changes in daily life. Common grief responses include shock, disbelief, denial, anger, and sadness.
