About
Aina Lesa-Togia'i, BSRT-RCP believes in creating a comfortable and trusting environment where patients feel heard and valued. A cornerstone of her practice is patient education. By providing comprehensive information on diseases, medications, breathing mechanics, and more, she empowers patients to take control of their respiratory health. Reinforcing good respiratory practices and techniques is also a high priority.
Aina's ultimate goal is to help every patient achieve the highest possible quality of life despite their respiratory conditions. She is dedicated to providing the knowledge and resources necessary for patients to make informed choices, leading to improved health outcomes. The most rewarding aspect of her work is witnessing patients successfully discharge and return to their lives. Seeing them back in their communities, surrounded by family and friends, is a testament to the impact of their care.
Respiratory Therapy is more than just a profession for Aina; it's a personal calling. The loss of her mother to cancer at a young age and the less-than-ideal care she received profoundly impacted the care she provides. Since becoming a respiratory therapist, she has embodied the spirit of 'Friends and family taking care of friends and family,' treating each patient with the same care and empathy she would offer her mother. This personal connection drives her unwavering commitment to providing excellent patient-centered care.
Outside of work, family is paramount to Aina. Spending quality time with her children and grandchildren brings her immense joy. She is a lifelong learner, passionate about exploring new knowledge and experiences. When not at the hospital, you can find her traveling, hiking, enjoying the tranquility of the beach, watching movies, listening to music, or simply savoring the peace and quiet of home.
